An IRL Edward Scissorhands exists and he works at a hair salon in Spain

Remember when we wrote about intense-sounding beauty treatments that involve fire? Well, they have nothing on Alberto Olmeda, a hairdresser in Madrid, Spain, who cuts his clients’ hair with fire, claws and swords. He admits his techniques are a bit “medieval” and his staff was initially reluctant to adopt them, but they came around eventually (for some reason...).

Olmeda uses two (ugh, two!) swords at once, for a more precise and accurate cut. He insists that cutting hair with, oh I don’t know, scissors, will never ensure both sides come out even.

So if you’re feeling particularly calm and zen today, watch the video above and don’t ever, ever try this at home.
