What you need to know: Joining Caudalie’s Vinoperfect family, this glow-boosting, daytime facial moisturizer relies on Caudalie’s signature Viniférine extract derived from grapevine sap, glycolic acid, niacinamide (vitamin B3) and white peony extract to effectively brighten and correct dark spots. “I’ve been working on this formula for more than 2 years,” Caudalie’s co-founder, Mathilde Thomas, told us. “I was inspired during one of my trips to Korea and noticed that the dewy gel-cream texture is the Holy Grail! I wanted the best texture, extremely natural formula and a product that would give an instant glow, which is so important for Vinoperfect line.”

What you need to know: Give stressed out skin a chill pill with Elizabeth Grant’s latest pampering facial mask. Infused with plant-based actives, like hemp seed oil, parsley and kale, this fatty acids and vitamin-rich formula calms skin by drawing away impurities while firming and brightening. To use, apply a thick layer to your entire (cleansed) face and let the creamy mixture work its magic for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Kiehl’s Vital Skin-Strengthening Super Serum

What you need to know: Meet Kiehl’s biggest launch of 2020. Face serums have long been praised as the powerhouse of a skincare routine because they are made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate more deeply into the skin than a cream. This featherweight, fast-absorbing serum is made with futuristic-sounding 11kDa Hyaluronic Acid (Kiehl’s smallest — and most potent — form of hyaluronic acid) and a proprietary Adaptogenic Herbal Complex for an anti-aging shield that protects the skin against environmental stressors while leaving behind plumper, dewier skin.
Price: $94 (50 ml)

Kérastase Genesis Collection

What you need to know: Hair shedding is totally normal, but when you begin to shed a significant amount of strands, and your hair isn’t growing back as lush as it once was, well, that’s when things get unsettling. When it comes to hair loss, there are many potential triggers: genetics, stress, hormonal changes, diet, overstyling, and environmental aggressors like pollution and weather. Kérastase says over shedding is also the number one hair concern among millennials today. To help remedy the situation, the French luxury haircare brand consulted with hairdressers, nutritionists and dermatologists to develop its new Genesis range, a line of 7 at-home products made to prevent excessive hair fall due to styling. If you’re a lover updos, heat styling, etc. — Genesis is for you. Packed with heavy-hitting ingredients that work to strengthen the hair fibre (like scalp-stimulating ginger root, collagen and elasticity-boosting aminexil (1.5%) and hydrating plant stem cells), the range is suitable for all hair types and includes two different shampoos (one for oilier hair and another for drier hair), a softening conditioner, a thermal protectant and an anti-breakage oil treatment.
Price: $24 – $95

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation Shade Extension

What you need to know: It’s music to our beauty-obsessed ears when we learn about cosmetic brands acting on matters of inclusivity, especially when it comes diversifying their ranges of foundations and concealers. German makeup brand Catrice has recently launched 5 new shades in its cult-favourite HD Liquid Coverage Foundation, which now bumps up the range to 23 skin shades. For beauty on a budget, this wallet-friendly foundation is praised for its lightweight, high-coverage formula that leaves the complexion looking natural, not cakey.

What’s also worth noting: Catrice just started a social media initiative to raise awareness for social distancing during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Through its #kisstance campaign, Catrice’s mother company, Cosnova, has committed to donating up to 1 million euros to Doctors Without Borders — an organization that is actively fighting the pandemic worldwide. How it works: Catrice is simply asking people to communicate the major importance of social distancing right now through a post, and tagging #kisstance and @catrice.us. In return, Cosnova will donate 5€ to Doctors Without Borders.
