The Ultimate Getaway to Hong Kong and Thailand Contest: Rules and Regulations

The “ULTIMATE GETAWAY TO HONG KONG AND THAILAND” contest is provided by FASHION Magazine in partnershipwith Hong Kong Tourism Board and Tourism Authority of Thailand. All questions regarding the contest rules should be directed to FASHION Magazine at 111 Queen Street E., Suite 320, Toronto ON M5C 1S2. Rules and regulations are available online at www.fashionmagazine.com.

1. Only one (1) entry per person. No purchase necessary. Eligible persons may enter by completing and submitting an original entry form available online at www.fashionmagazine.com. Any attempt or suspected attempt to enter more than once per person, any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or entry methods not authorized by these rules, shall be deemed as tampering and will void all of your entries. To participate, fully complete the Official Entry Form.

2. This contest starts on May 7, 2018 12:00 PM EST and ends on July 8, 2018 at 23:59 PM ET.

3. All entries become the property of FASHION Magazine and none shall be returned.

4. One (1) winner will receive a trip for two (2) to Hong Kong and Thailand.

The prize includes:

Airfare: Two (2) economy class tickets from Vancouver or Toronto to Hong Kong and return from Thailand to Vancouver or Toronto as well as two (2) economy class tickets from Hong Kong to Thailand

Hong Kong:

• A three (3)-nights stay in a standard room with double-occupancy inclusive of free wifi and American breakfast
• Airport/hotel transfers for two (2) persons
• One (1) designated tour for two (2) persons

Thailand:

• A three (3)-nights stay in a double occupancy in a Grand Ocean View Room at The Nai Harn Phuket in Thailand with breakfast included
• Airport/hotel transfers for two (2) persons
• One (1) designated tour for two (2) persons
• Terms and Conditions:

This travel package is valid until June 15, 2019, must be accepted as awarded. Blackout periods for travel and travel restrictions applied. Taxes, gratuities, meals, domestic transfer, extension of stay, personal expenses & insurance are excluded in the prizes. Winner and his/her travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary and are solely responsible for obtaining their own travel documents (i.e. passport or travel visa) in advance of departure date. In the event winner’s travel companion is under the age of majority, winner must be that person’s parent or legal guardian.

Black out dates for Cathay Pacific (airfare):

• June 16, 2018 - September 9, 2018
• December 15, 2018 - January 13, 2019
• April 14, 2019 - April 28, 2019

Black out dates for Lanson Place Hong Kong (hotel accommodation in Hong Kong):

• December 24, 2018 - January 1, 2019
• February 6, 2019 - February 9, 2019
• April 4, 2019 - April 7, 2019

Terms and Conditions for The Nai Harn Phuket (hotel accommodation in Thailand):

• The Gift Voucher for the three (3)-nights stay in a double occupancy in a Grand Ocean View Room at The Nai Harn Phuket in Thailand with breakfast included (hereinafter referred to as “Voucher”), must be presented to the front desk upon check-in.
• The Voucher may not be redeemed for cash. No credit or change will be given on the unused portion of the Voucher.
• The Voucher is valid through November 30th, 2019.
• The Voucher is not valid during peak season between:
  • December 24, 2018 - January 10, 2019
  • February 3 , 2019 - February 12, 2019
  • April 19 - April 23, 2019
• Contest winners must book their desired period of stay at least 5 weeks in advance. Confirmation is not guaranteed and is subject to availability.
• Voucher copy or number should be advised upon the booking request.

Sponsor represents and warrants to St. Joseph Media that $7,500CAD is the fair market value of the Prize.

5. To be eligible, entries must be received on or before 23:59 PM EST on the contest closing date of July 8, 2018. FASHION Magazine is not responsible for any entries that are incomplete, lost, destroyed, delayed, or not transmitted due to technical failure, however caused.

6. The winner will be selected on July 11, 2018. The selected entrant will be notified by phone or e-mail within 72 hours of the draw. In the event that a selected entrant does not comply with these Contest Rules and Regulations, or cannot be contacted within 72 hours of the draw, an alternate entrant will be selected from the remaining entries. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. FASHION Magazine reserve the right to substitute any portion of the prize with a prize of equal value whatsoever.

7. This Contest is open to all residents of Canada 18 and over, excluding residents of Quebec and employees of St. Joseph Media, Hong Kong Tourism Board and Tourism Authority of Thailand and their respective interactive, advertising and promotional agencies, persons with whom any of the above are domiciled and/or members of their respective immediate families.

8. The entrant selected for a prize will be required to correctly answer a time limited skill testing question before being declared a prize winner. The prize winner must sign the Waiver/Release of liability as a condition to and in advance of receiving the prize in favour of FASHION Magazine and the other sponsors such that none of them shall be liable for the use or misuse of the Prize. FASHION Magazine and the other sponsors assume no responsibility for the participation in the contest, or any liability, claims, demands, actions, loss, damage or personal injury that may be sustained by either the winner of the Prize or his/her guest.

10. Participation in the contest constitutes permission to FASHION Magazine and the sponsors and their agencies to use the name, photograph and/or likeness of the winner (and his/her guests) purposes of promotion, advertising, and trade without further compensation.

9. FASHION Magazine and the other sponsors assume no responsibility for the prize winners’ travel expenses and lodgings, except for those explicitly outlined above.

11. By participating in this contest, all entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and Regulations. The decisions of the contest judges are final. FASHION Magazine and the sponsors are not responsible for any typographical error in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest. FASHION Magazine reserves the right to withdraw or terminate the contest at any time without prior notice or to change the Rules and Regulations. Contact or correspondence will occur only with selected entrants. This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal Laws and regulations.
