At the forefront of music, fashion, culture and the arts, Solange Knowles is a serious multi-tasker. Alongside her music career and style icon status, she also holds the creative director title at Saint Heron, a multimedia platform that celebrates diversity in all its forms. Part recording company, part art community, part cool stuff curator, the site just launched e-commerce too. It works the way a cool friend of a friend would recommend something you’ve never heard of, but then can’t figure out how you ever lived without it (I’m talking about you colourful curly wool clutches). The collection of clothing, beauty, home and candy all highlight pieces from designers of colour, giving the emerging designers and creators a celeb-backed showcase. Even more enticing is that fact that a lot of the items are exclusive collaborations with Saint Heron which means you can’t buy them anywhere else.
