Everyone knows Andrej Pejic, the gorgeous, androgynous male model who’s been ripping up the men’s and women’s runways this past year—and soon enough, Queen Elizabeth will know him too.

Liz will soon be visiting Australia, where Pejic spent his formative years, and Pejic has been invited to Buckingham Palace for an event to celebrate her upcoming visit. He will join other British-based Australians at the event, but we’re certain he will stand out in the crowd—not only is he uncommonly attractive, but even his laid-back-femme off-duty style is covetable. The question on everyone’s mind is what Pejic will wear, as he’s known for some pretty outrageous and sexy outfits (with or without a baby bump!), but we suspect that this guy knows how to dress for the occasion.

What do we want to see him in? We’re picturing a dark, figure-hugging floor-length gown, maybe with an open back. Elegant (he’ll be in the presence of the Queen, after all), but still chic. And with a classic chignon, please. Leave the ever-popular British fascinator at home: no need to look like Eugenie and Beatrice.

THEY SAID…

Huffington Post Style: “Given some of Pejic’s outré ensembles, we’re left wondering what he might wear to the buttoned-up engagement.” [Huffington Post]

Buckingham Palace spokesperson: “That won’t be a problem, of course not. The invitation’s recommended dress code is a day dress or a lounge suit—but guests are very welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.” [Vogue UK]

Kirstie Clements, Vogue Australia editor: “[Pejic should wear] a three piece suit and a drop earring to meet the Queen. A bit Bowie.” [Vogue UK]

Frockwriter: “Over the past year we have grown accustomed to expecting the unexpected from Pejic. This is the man who closed Jean Paul Gaultier’s haute couture show in Paris in January in a wedding dress, turned up at Rio airport with a fake baby bump, channeled Harry Potter’s Bellatrix L’Estrange for Myer‘s relaunch and, more recently, Marilyn Monroe for Love Cat magazine.” [Frockwriter]

WE SAID…

Caitlin Agnew, assistant editor: “I hope he wears something stunning from one of the many super talented British designers. Dress or suit, there’s no doubt that he’s going to be the best looking guest at the palace. Oh, those cheekbones!”
