Style maven Caroline Issa spins her talents into a collection for Nordstrom

When you hear the name Caroline Issa, you automatically think of her impeccable street style. But now you can add designer to the list because the fashion director has teamed up with Nordstrom to bring you a year-round ready-to-wear collection of snap-worthy pieces.
Seeing that she is a favourite to shoot on the streets during fashion week, we can’t think of anyone better for the job than the Montreal-native. True to her own classic style, the 28-piece collection includes timeless, everyday pieces like tailored blazers, leather jackets, full skirts and waist-defining dresses that will not only help you stand out at your 9-5, but will also take you seamlessly right into the evening. The luxe collection incorporates high-fashion details like extra-long cuffs and contrast collars, as well as quality materials like leather and cashmere source from Italy, which could explain its steep price range (the collection tops out at $3,495).
“We drew references from style icons such as Lauren Bacall, Audrey Hepburn and Slim Keith - women who were confident, accomplished and wore clothes to compliment their every day life,” says Issa of the collection.
The Nordstrom Signature & Caroline Issa collection will be available in Canada including Calgary’s Nordstrom Chinook Centre and Ottawa’s soon-to-be-opening Rideau Centre store in March. Don’t live near a Nordstrom? Don’t fret. The Spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection is available online right now.
