Pop Up 120 opens on Ossington with a mid-heat wave punk party

We usually talk about hot parties in the proverbial sense, but last Wednesday’s opening of Pop Up 120 in Toronto was about as real as hot can get. Mid-heat wave, the newly AC-less spot held an average temperature of 40°C as it celebrated the opening of a rotating pop up.

The store, which is located on the west end main drag, Ossington Avenue, will host a new brand every few months beginning with rock ‘n’ roll UK label Religion. On opening night, the selection included typically coveted band tank tops and American flag body suits for women alongside loose fitting logo T-shirts for men.  The edgy selection worked perfectly with garage rock duo Bella Akira who artfully sweat through their set in apropos leather.
