Our favourite nuggets from last night’s Kanye West Twitterthon
Last night (read: 4 a.m. his time) Kanye West took to took to his preferred forum to rant, muse, and philosophize, Twitter! Never one to mince words, West produced a series of over 70 tweets about everything from his time as an undercover Fendi designer to his thoughts on the VAT tax. His tweets culminated with the announcement of his plan to create an all-encompassing think tank, DONDA. (Yeah, you’ll be hearing that word every five seconds for the rest of your life.)

Kanye on the “Paris VAT” (or ahem, the European Union–wide tax):
“I still don’t have a Paris VAT number to this day… I don’t know what a VAT [is] but every time I asked why we didn’t have fabrics they said…it was because of the VAT”
On his multitude of fashion design roles:
“After doing the first LV collection I was sure I would get a second shot to create but was never given the opportunity”
On his apparent stint at Fendi:
“I moved to Rome after I left Japan and worked at Fendi for 4 months under cover … I was there to give ideas for the men’s collection”
