The Internet Is Losing It Over Michelle Obama’s Reaction To Melania Trump’s Gift

Today is an emotional day not just for America, but for the world, as Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 45th President of the United States.

But if there was at least one redeeming factor, it was the Internet’s reaction to Inauguration Day, especially when Michelle Obama received a Tiffany & Co. gift from Melania Trump.

The presentation of the gift occurred when the Obamas welcomed the Trumps to the White House, as the tradition goes on Inauguration Day. After exchanging cheek kisses, Melania handed over the medium-sized robin egg’s blue box to the former First Lady. Michelle, however, wasn’t sure where to put the gift, resulting in this priceless reaction:

Many felt Michelle’s facial expression perfectly summed up how we all felt today, and others dubbed it “the only good moment of this inauguration.”

Luckily, Barack Obama saved the day, taking the gift from Michelle to put a stop to the awkwardness and proving he truly is the real MVP.
