Kendall Jenner Talks Justin Bieber, the Hadids and Getting Sexual on Mario Testino’s Podcast

Kendall Jenner recently sat down with renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino for his podcast On the Sofa, where they chatted about their time working together over the years. The duo discussed everything from their first photo shoot together to growing up on the L.A. scene to Kendall’s famous friends.

Here are some of the interview’s highlights.

On her first shoot with Mario Testino

“I remember, and I’ll never forget it, when I got this [Allure] shoot. I was just starting, and one of my agents was like ‘Have fun. These will probably be some of the most beautiful photos of you,’" she recalled.

On working with her friends

Over the course of their shoots together, Kendall has been lucky enough to model for Testino alongside some of her famous friends. “I always shoot with [Testino] with my friends and it makes it so fun. It’s so fun,” she said.

On growing up with Justin Bieber

Despite rumours of on-again-off-again romances, Jenner and Bieber are just longtime friends since childhood. Kendall shared how she and Justin first met: “He worked with my sister once, and I was at my sister’s house, so that’s how we first met...After that, Kylie and I got invited to his movie premieres and whatever, and then we all lived in the same community.”

Another fun fact shared in the interview: Kendall’s sister Khloe actually bought Bieber’s Calabasas, Calif., mansion in 2014.

On her besties Gigi & Bella Hadid

Though you’d never guess based on the #friendshipgoals that are Gigi and Kendall, their friendship is a recent development. “Gigi and I just started getting close when we started modelling,” Kendall said. “Bella and I actually were really good friends in high school. Like, hung out every day in high school before either of us started working.” Who knew?

On getting “sexual” for photoshoots

“I don’t get to be hot very often,” Kendall said about why she enjoys expressing her sexuality on set. “I love going, like, sexual, ‘cause I never really do it.”
