During a South by Southwest event moderated by the Stark sisters (Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner), GOT creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff shared the special reason behind the British megastar’s guest appearance.

“For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie, and this year we finally did it,” Benioff said.
