New York may be the city that never sleeps but my guess is that there’s more than a few NYFW show goers who would love to catch up on their zzzzs. Early mornings, late nights and a weekend so jam-packed with fashion goodness (Alexander Wang! Prabal Gurung! Victoria Beckham!) means that hitting snooze is the last thing on the agenda. From people, places and things, here’s our top five wow-worthy weekend moments:

1. Trainers continue to pound the pavement this season, on and off the runway. (Good news for those of us without car service) Alexander Wang wove this athletic-inspiration into his spring 2015 line-up, which included pleated white tennis dresses with a Stan Smith-like colour palette of white and green. Love-love.

2. Prabal Gurung should work for the Nepal tourism board. Nodding to this country and his heritage, he sent gorgeous 3D Rhododendron prints, trekking trousers and an array of sunset pastels down the runway. Start planning your getaway now.

3. Designers have gone bananas for yellow. Spotted at Nanette Lepore, Diane von Furstenberg and Creatures of the Wind, this sunny hue is getting a warm reception for Spring 2015.

4. Best show space to realign your chakras: Cedar Lake in West Chelsea. Donna Karan pipes warm, woodsy-scented incense into the room every season. Reading the DKNY seat notes (“A collection of colour, culture and creativity”) right before the lights were dimmed, we felt right at ohm.

5. Military and men–Victoria Beckham served up both of these tasty treats early Sunday morning. Her spring 2015 collection focused on military must-haves – think sharp, clean lines, the perfect neutral palette and uniform dressing. As for the men, they appeared right before the start of the show. David Beckham and his son Brooklyn had iPhones shooting into the air, as they took their seats to cheer on the woman of the hour (a.k.a wife and mom).
