Here’s How You Can Support Doutzen Kroes’ Elephant Conservation Movement #KnotOnMyPlanet at Holt Renfrew This Weekend

Canadian retailer Holt Renfrew has announced the return of its partnership with the Elephant Crisis Fund’s #KnotOnMyPlanet initiative. To date, the partnership has raised over $250,000.

The Elephant Crisis Fund was established by Save the Elephant and the Wildlife Conservation Network alongside Leonardo DiCaprio‘s namesake foundation. Supermodel Doutzen Kroes is the global ambassador for the #KnotOnMyPlanet initiative and has teamed up with Holt Renfrew’s Alexandra Weston to launch an exclusive shopping event to help support the movement in Toronto.

According to an official release, Holt Renfrew “has committed to a national charity shopping weekend with a goal of raising $200,000 for the Elephant Crisis Fund” across September 7-8. Customers who spend over $300 in store on those days will receive a limited edition elephant tote, designed by either Kroes, Behati Prinsloo Levine or Anja Rubik.

Additionally, the department store has commissioned a limited edition clothing collection from Canadian brand Kotn. Each of the items in the capsule feature an elephant illustration by Melody Hansen, with prices ranging from $20-$125. Plus, 100% of the profits from the collection will be donated to the Elephant Crisis Fund.

Jonathan Anderson has also designed another handbag for the cause from LOEWE. There will only be 15 pieces of this year’s hand-beaded elephant bag available in Canada from October. As with the Kotn capsule, 100% of the profits will be donated to #KnotOnMyPlanet.

This weekend, shoppers will also be able to view five exclusive elephant-inspired artworks from En Masse, Nicole Charles, Briony Douglas, Ben Johnson and Pauline Loctin in-store.

Speaking about the partnership, Kroes said in a statement, “The fashion industry has been incredibly supportive of #knotonmyplanet and the Elephant Crisis Fund. When we originally launched, it was my friends in the fashion industry that I asked to help spread the word. This led to so many people across the world wanting to know more about what we were doing, which I think caught the attention of industry icons like Holt Renfrew who asked how they can help. That support has been simply amazing!”

Shopping for a cause? There’s no better excuse for a new purchase.
