A year’s worth of magazine covers lined the Holt’s Café’s brightly lit gallery space during the Holt Renfrew and FASHION Magazine-hosted cocktail party last week, a fete to both unveil the Winter and Holiday 2014 covers of FASHION and Men’s FASHION respectively, and kick off an evening of shopping at the flagship location of Canada’s premier luxury department store.

Guests mingled and enjoyed upbeat tunes spun by the onsite DJ while sipping Peroni beer, G. Marquis wines and RumChata-spiked hot chocolates, all the while gaining a retrospective look at the 2014 FASHION and Men’s FASHION covers for the closing year. Later that evening, party attendees and FASHION newsletter subscribers alike would enjoy a special discount at the store, perfect for those looking to get their holiday shopping done early (whether it was for themselves or for their loved ones, we won’t say). Those looking to gain some sartorial inspiration were treated to a series of mannequins donning festive holiday looks that ranged from classy to cutting-edge, each dressed by a select group of FASHION editors, including FASHION’s Editor-in-Chief Bernadette Morra and Men’s FASHION EIC David Livingstone.
