The Weeknd May be Dating Justin Bieber’s Ex
Cue the drama.
OK, so by now we all know Selena Gomez has broken up with her boyfriend of 10 months, The Weeknd, and most likely rekindled with her ex, Justin Bieber (you can see a whole timeline of their drama-filled relationship here). But it looks like The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) is moving on fast, and with none other than one of Bieber‘s exes: Yovanna Ventura.
According to Us Weekly, the “Starboy” singer was spotted holding hands with Yovanna at French Montana’s birthday party in Beverly Hills on Nov. 9th.
“The Weeknd was there hand in hand with Yovanna Ventura all night,” a source told Us. “They arrived together. They were holding hands. He was there for a solid two hours with her and everywhere they went they held hands.”
“He was parading her around,” another source added. “He was trying to make it obvious that he was with someone. They were pretty affectionate and were together the entire night.”
But that’s not all — the 27-year-old crooner was reportedly seen with the 21-year-old model from Miami the following evening, with the two photographed sitting in the backset of an SUV as they left Hyde nightclub. And as Buzzfeed notes, The Weeknd and Ventura just started following each other on Instagram, with Abel liking this post of Yovanna’s from a few days ago:
Bieber and Ventura briefly dated back in 2014, during one of the Jelena “off” phases and posed for plenty of PDA-filled pics together, many of which have been since deleted. And considering how petty Justin has been towards The Weeknd in the past (he joked “Starboy” was his fave song on Instagram Live, then later told TMZ, “Hell no I can’t listen to a Weeknd song. That s—’s wack.”), it would be sweet, sweet payback for Abel to date Yovanna.
However, if you think this is affecting Selena and The Weeknd post-breakup, it hasn’t… at least not yet. The two are still following each other on Instagram, and Gomez even liked one of Tesfaye’s posts after their split.
So, as long as everyone’s happy with their (rumoured) new partners, everything should be good between all parties, right? Time will tell, but you can bet we’ll be here to witness it all.
