Queer Eye (season one)

Your favourite 2000’s reality TV show is coming to your favourite 2010’s streaming service. According to Netflix’s press release, the *new* fab five — who specialize in fashion, food & wine, grooming, culture, and interior design — “will forge relationships with men and women from a wide array of backgrounds and beliefs often contrary to their own, touching on everything from LGBTQ rights and social commentary to how to make the best farm-to-table guacamole.” SO MANY FEELS.

On Body and Soul

Netflix has exclusive North American right’s to this highly hyped, Oscar-nominated foreign language film. On Body and Soul comes from Hungarian director Ildikó Enyedi, and follows the story of two slaughterhouse workers who discover they share the same dreams. It’s strange, subtitled, utterly beautiful– and definitely something you can pretentiously brag to your friends about watching.

Seeing Allred

This 96-minute Netflix documentary gives viewers an intimate look inside the life and career of America’s lead women’s rights attorney, Gloria Allred. The doc premiered this past weekend at Sundance Film Festival, and follows the notorious advocate from the early 70s through to today.
