So many epic music festivals happen over the August long weekend that it takes an afternoon just to catch up on the fashion! From Toronto’s OVO and Veld festivals to Chicago’s Lollapalooza, there’s plenty for music lovers. Montreal’s Osheaga, a festival consistently praised for its lineup and smooth execution, proves to be a competitive event in the summer festival circuit.

More than 135 thousand attendees made the annual summer pilgrimage to Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène in Montreal for the three-day music and art festival. Nearly 120 acts were jammed into 72 hours over 6 stages, festivalgoers swayed to A-list acts like Outkast, Lorde, Haim, as well as homegrown MTL heroes Chromeo and Half Moon Run.

With the sun in their favour, attendees were pairing leg and midriff exposure with practical elements like festival-proof footwear (socks too!) and UV-shielding hats which proved cool in more ways than one. Though much of festival fashion is universal, there were a few Osheaga 2014 styles that stood out including this pastel pattern ensemble (as if her perfect fringe wasn’t enough) and this festivalgoer who nailed the socks and sandals trend. Flip through for the best of Osheaga 2014 style.
