Céline Dion Answered a Question About Her Dating Life With a Rihanna Song

Céline Dion has a lot of songs about love. There’s “Because You Loved Me,” “The Power of Love,” and “Love Doesn’t Ask Why”…she’s made a career singing about hearts going on and other mushy relationship stuff. Yet, when Dion was aaked about her love life, she turned to the lyrics of another artist.

Dion was promoting her new handbag line, Celine Dion Collection, at an event in Montreal earlier this week when a reporter asked: “How are things going? It’s a whole new world, you’re a single woman. How is life?”

“Are you asking me out?” she quipped in response. Then, she pulled the best interview question diversion tactic of all time. (Next time your grandma/aunt/bff asks about your boyfriend prospects, just break into a 2012 pop song.)

This, of course, wasn’t the first time that Dion has channeled her inner RiRi for an audience. Last summer, the 49-year-old singer stopped by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to play a little “Wheel of Musical Impressions.” She sings “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”…as Rihanna…and she twerks.

Now, I bet you’re thinking: “Céline Dion twerking like Rihanna is my happy mood. If that was a slow motion gif, I would use it as a response to every message of good news.”
