Sephora’s Rewards Program Is Getting a Makeover
As Sephora celebrates its 20th year in North America, they’re also celebrating the people who made it all happen—their customers! And to say thank you, the Beauty Insider program is getting an exciting update. Sephora’s rewards program is easily one of the best in the world when it comes to a mainstream store rewarding its customers—consistently I might add! And now, the company wants to honour its members by offering even more offers, experiences, choices and chances to earn points.
For this new update, they’ve taken advice straight from the source, soliciting feedback from all three tiers of the program (Rouge, VIB and Insider) to figure out what exactly people want more of.
“By fostering personal connections and generating brand love over the years, it was only natural that we leveraged their input to further strengthen the program and impart a renewed experience, beyond just perks and discounts,” said Deborah Yeh, Senior Vice President for Marketing and Brand for Sephora.
So, let’s get to the important stuff. What’s new?
More Points
Members will now have the opportunity to earn more points more quickly, meaning rewards will come much more often. The point system will now be based on membership tiers. If you’re an Insider you’ll stay at the regular one point per one dollar. If you’re VIB, you’ll now earn 1.25 points per dollar. And Rouge will receive the most at 1.5 points per dollar.
More Rewards
Sephora’s Rewards Bazaar is getting an update too, with five times more 750+ point rewards being added. This includes two to three full-sized products (hooray to more than just teeny tiny samples!). Not only will there be a greater number of awards, there will be greater diversity in the products. This includes colour range and the inclusion of more products related to skincare, haircare, fragrance and wellness. Lastly, there’s one special new reward available to Rouge members only. Members of the top tier will be able to exchange 2,500 points for a $100 reward that they can use on their favourite Sephora products.
More Choice
Everybody loves getting a free birthday gift, but the company is now doing you one better by giving you more options to choose from. VIB and Rouge members will also have the option of receiving 250 bonus points as their birthday gift.
More Convenience
Your profile will also get a makeover. The update will show your current Beauty Insider status on your profile along with your total points and a list of rewards you can redeem. Your profile will now also direct you to other offers you might be interested in.
All of this goes down next week, with the new and improved Beauty Insider program debuting August 14th.
