People Have Discovered That This Lush Bath Bomb Makes a Great Highlighter

Who knew? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

As much as we love a good highlight to the heavens, achieving the look can be pretty pricey. But some clever beauty lovers on Twitter have discovered a relatively inexpensive beauty product that can double as a highlighter: a Lush bath bomb.

The U.K. beauty brand’s Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt retails for $8.95 and is covered in gold glitter. Some Twitter users found it gave them an all-over body glow after use in the bath, while others took it upon themselves to use the leftover glitter from the bath bomb on top of their cheekbones for that killer highlight.

One Instagram user did a full-on golden look inspired by the product:

And truth be told, by the looks of the photos, the Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt does really have a nice, glowy residue with a slight sheen.

For those who are worried about potential irritation, a Lush rep tells Seventeen, “We always encourage our customers to use our products for their intended use, so in this case [bath bombs] are meant to be enjoyed in the bath. That said, it certainly wouldn’t cause harm to use it on your face.”

If you’re still skeptical, Lush does sell a highlighter called Feeling Younger Skin Tint which contains oatmeal decoction, cocoa butter and jojoba oils. The tint can be used on cheeks, brow bones, inner eyelids and even the décolletage, but if you’re the DIY type, a bath bomb might be the way to go.
