Vancouver beauty pick: Noir Lash Lounge

If you’ve never formally been asked if you are a “lash virgin”, then you have yet to pay a visit to Vancouver’s Noir Lash Lounge (1150 Hamilton St., 604-915-LASH, noirlashlounge.com). The “glamour in an hour” salon specializes in semi-permanent eyelash extensions, and eyelashes only. Owner Joyce Poon has opened three locations (Yaletown, as well as South Granville and Morgan Crossing) in just two years, and offers a selection of over 100 different varieties of lashes. Styles include “One Night Stand” (a quick fix for a special evening out), “Doll Face” (alternating short and long lashes), and “Addict For The Dramatic” (a heavy full fringe to get you noticed). The individual lashes are meticulously applied with a special non-irritating adhesive, and bond for 4 to 8 weeks (1 to 4 weeks for “lash virgins”). Already addicted?
