
Let’s be honest: no one really likes wearing sunscreen. Sure, we want to be protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays, but adding an extra step to our morning routines, not to mention reapplying throughout the day (especially over makeup...the worst!) is kind of a pain. And then there’s the whole white sheen, sticky feel, and weird smell sunscreen has been notorious for leaving on our skin.
Now full disclaimer: I’m new to this whole applying sunscreen regularly concept, but one product that has actually helped convert me is a tinted version. And no, I’m not talking about my tinted moisturizers that already have built-in SPF, I’m talking actual sunscreen with just a hint of colour to hydrate, protect and provide a bit of coverage to my skin. I’m on the drier side in terms of skin type, so I still need to use my regular moisturizer, but tinted sunscreens knock out two extra steps from my regular routine, which means I can sleep in an extra 10 minutes. More beauty rest and sun-protected skin? Win-win.
