Floating Head Makeup is Officially the Coolest Halloween Trend of the Year

Halloween truly is the most wonderful time of the year for makeup lovers, and this year, those who are blessed with the gift of, well, talent, are showing us some of their favourite and most creative ways to show off their skills this season. From M.A.C Senior Artists’ creations to group costumes to downright gross tutorials, 2017 is shaping up to be a great year for Halloween inspo. And it’s all thanks to Instagram.

That being said, if we had to pick our one favourite trend that we’ve seen, we’ve gotta go with floating head makeup. The optical illusion has been blowing up our newsfeeds and we can’t stop staring. Makeup artists are using their favourite products to create the illusion of a decapitated head floating above their necks, and the results are insane.
