This Makeup Artist Joked About a New Eyebrow Trend and People Lost It
Of course they did.
The Instagram makeup crowd takes its eyebrows very seriously. Like, very seriously. Earlier this week, Finland-based makeup artist Stella Sironen, who has over 42,000 followers, posted a photo of a very feathered, gelled-down brow, paired with a pretty, pastel eye.
She captioned the photo, “So i’m starting this new brow trend please recreate it and wear it everyday and dont forget to tag me like and subscribe and hit that bell button????" and instantly, her captions section exploded. With comments along the lines of “someone needs to come get their centipede” and “this is making me uncomfortable,” it’s safe to say most people were not into the look.
In fact, Sironen followed up the next day with a pic explaining that the whole thing was a joke.
She wrote: “note to self: when u make a joke about starting a funny brow trend people will take it seriously and.... well. start the trend. anyways THANK YOU for all the love and hate on my last pic! i think we should call this #featherbrows so if you actually want to recreate this, pls use the hashtag and tag me in the picture?"
Honestly, we don’t see what all the fuss is about. We kind of like the feather brow look.
