Celebs change hair colours like they change clothes. Note: they get insanely talented professionals to do the job, so don’t try DIY-ing or your hair might just fall out. Going from black, to blonde, to green, to mint green, to silver, to blonde again and every colour in between (ahem Kylie) is exciting. If we had the Kardashian #cashflow, doing a new colour every week would be no problem.

While all the hues celebrities try on their hair is fun to observe, silver/grey is definitely eye-catching. For years, people have been doing the reverse, covering their grey strands as soon as they make an appearance. That’s why it’s so fascinating that young people have taken the opposite route: intentionally dying their hair grey.

After personally going silver hair myself for several months, I received tons of mixed reactions. It’s not like dying your hair pink or blue - because it’s obvious that’s a dye job - no one has naturally pink hair. But it is technically possible for some people to be greying young. And I would get asked if it was natural almost on a daily basis. I wish. A colour that goes perfectly with everything and is crazy yet still somehow put together? Yes please!
