Rihanna is Designing a Lingerie Line(!!!)

Considering the stratospheric success of Fenty Beauty, it’s no surprise Rihanna is moving towards new ventures. The bad gyal herself has announced she will be designing a lingerie line called Savage x Fenty (!!!) and teased a picture of herself in a pistachio-green bralette via Instagram stories. Plus, a new @savagexfenty Instagram account has uploaded a few visual teasers. Will Rihanna do for bras what she did for makeup? My guess is…probably! (Instagram)

Antwerp Fashion Museum is Closed For Renovations

MoMu Antwerp, home to exhibitions such as “Olivier Theyskens: She Walks in Beauty” and “Margiela, The Hermès Years,” will be closing its doors for renovations until 2020. “Once the renovations are complete in 2020, we will be presenting the story of Belgian fashion on a permanent basis and giving our visitors a deeper look into our own world-renowned fashion history,” museum director Kat Debo told WWD. The renovation will add 8,600 square feet of exhibition space, dedicating permanent space for an exhibition on the Antwerp Six, a group of designers who attended Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts between 1980 and 1981, and includes Ann Demeulemeester, and Dries Van Noten. Christian Siriano Opens Up a Concept Store (with Coffee Shop!) in NYC

Christian Siriano just opened up a pretty-in-pink multi-level concept store in midtown Manhattan called The Curated, where you can jolt yourself awake with a shot of espresso before power-browsing through the designer’s red carpet-worthy frocks. In addition to Siriano’s designs, the shop will stock clothing by Universal Standard, hats by Betto Garcia and original pieces of visual art. “When you’re here, you should feel like you’re in someone’s home playing dress up in their closet,” Siriano told website HauteLiving. We want people to feel comfortable that they can hang out and feel cozy in their home away from home. It’s not just about shopping and spending money, it’s a lifestyle.” (HauteLiving)

Rick Owens Has Designed a Line of Birkenstocks

“I wear them every summer on the Lido in Venice,” Rick Owens says of fashion’s favourite ugly-chic sandal. Now, the boundary-pushing designer has released a number of designs for a Birkenstock Box pop-up shop that just launched outside Owens’ store in Los Angeles. A pair of Arizona sandals done with long-haired cow fur is vaguely sinister-looking; another grey felt pair are meant to resemble a Joseph Beuys temple. “I like the extending and exaggerating and dragging in my own collections as a quiet reminder that we don’t have to conform to standard parameters in design, or maybe even thought,” the designer told WWD.
