Celebrate National Avocado Day With This Chocolate Avocado Pudding

This foolproof recipe combines two beloved ingredients.

For those who don’t consider themselves great cooks (???), written recipes can be pretty intimidating, especially if said non-cooks are visual learners. Why else do you think those quick one-minute how-to video recipes on your Instagram and Facebook feeds are so popular? Seeing the actual recipe come to life on a screen makes it seem less daunting, and it doesn’t hurt if the dish itself looks extra tasty (more incentive to make it!).

Having said that, written instructions are still helpful, especially for listing ingredients or referencing a step you may have missed at a glance. So wouldn’t it be great if you could have a cookbook with both the written recipe and a how-to video to go along with it? Best-selling author Greta Podleski’s book Yum & Yummer—the first cookbook ever to feature written instructions, full-page food photos and how-to-videos for every single recipe—gives you all the options you need.

“If Instagram, Pinterest and Buzzfeed Tasty had a baby, this cookbook would be it!” the Food Network Canada alum describes her book which features delicious and healthy recipes with gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. Bonus? All of the recipes use common, everyday ingredients found at your local grocery store, making them that much more accessible to the, ahem, self-proclaimed non-cooks.

Want a taste of what to expect from Yum & Yummer? Check out the how-to video below for Podleski’s (vegan optional) Chocolate Avocado Pudding—a foolproof dessert that’s not only healthy, but also tasty.
