It’s that time of year again! November 1st marks the start of a new season — at least for Starbucks customers. Following Halloween, gone are the fall drinks and so begins holiday season, meaning drinks, treats and, of course, cups to get everyone in the festive spirit.

Holiday cups are one of the most anticipated Starbucks products of the season and this year, the coffee giant is changing things up, introducing its first-ever colour-in cup, which features holiday and winter-themed illustrations that customers can colour in themselves.

These new cups are most likely a direct response to the criticism Starbucks has received in the past for its holiday cups, particularly, in 2015 when its minimalist red cups were deemed not “Christmas-y” enough. Starbucks says these colour-in cups are its most “inclusive cup[s] to date” as customers can “colour, doodle and sketch in what the season means to them.”

Other new offerings this season include the Starbucks Blonde Americano Nuevo, which is essentially a classic Americano Misto with hazelnut syrup. The fan-fave Chestnut Praline Latte (which will be returning this season) is getting the chai tea treatment (much like the Pumpkin Spice Latte), with Starbucks offering a Chestnut Praline Chai Tea Latte consisting of chestnut praline syrup, Lightly Sweet Chai, steamed milk and topped with spiced praline crumbs. And there will also be a Toasted White Mocha, which features a new Starbucks Toasted White Chocolate Mocha sauce, signature espresso and steamed milk topped with whipped cream and candied cranberry sugar. It can be enjoyed hot, iced or as a Frappuccino.
