Instagram May Be Changing its Grid, and People are NOT Happy About it
In the age of influencers and Instastars, there’s nothing more important than the perfect Instagram grid (seriously, there are apps available to help plan your grid to ensure your two selfies don’t end up side by side or worse, on top of each other). However, Instagram may be switching things up and changing the three-photo grid to four, meaning a lot of users will be affected.
As Refinery29 reports, multiple users on Twitter have been tweeting out screenshots of a four-across photo grid, which could indicate they are randomly selected test users of new Instagram features. (Instagram has been known to select users at random to test out new features, like slideshows, for example.)
Anyone else's instagram keep changing to a 4 pic grid then back to 3? ?? pic.twitter.com/n1ebT20656

And by the looks of it, the majority of them aren’t too happy about it.
Anyone else's Instagram showing a 4 in a row grid? This is going to ruin everything ? #gridview #instagram #aesthetics pic.twitter.com/XmCLyv5lx1

Nothing’s confirmed as of yet, but it looks like this could be the most controversial Instagram update since the algorithm change.
