Introducing Häagen-Dazs Spirits collection, an exclusive Canadian dessert line from one of the world’s greatest ice cream makers. It’s kind of a big deal given that we rarely get treated to state-of-the-art, limited-edition junk food before our neighbours south of the border. In the glorious U.S.A., there are dozens of Oreo flavours. In Canada? We get five, if we’re lucky.
However, it looks like we finally have something to draw Americans over our borders into our Walmarts. Häagen-Dazs Spirits collection’s features five Canada-only flavours, and they’re all worth travelling for.

You can pick up a pint in stores and enjoy it in bed à la Netflix, or you can sample the sweet treat at the Toronto pop-up, Bär Häagen-Dazs. Yes, the ice-cream company has opened up a bar. Located at 600 King Street West, Bär Häagen-Dazs takes cues from wine tastings and whisky samplings to allow guests to explore a variety of Häagen-Dazs flavours via “flights.”
Bär Häagen-Dazs also hosts happy hour, where the 19+ crowd can listen to music and enjoy specially-curated delicious ice-cream cocktails. Unfortunately, this dream-come-true hangout spot is open for a limited time only, so you’ll have to make a visit soon.
