Can you think of a better way to start your day than with an airy, fluffy doughnut and a hot cup of coffee? On June 2, if you’re in need of another reason to treat yourself, here it is: It’s National Doughnut Day, so pick up one (or several) of the greatest breakfasts/snacks/desserts ever created and enjoy.

Whether you’re a fan of the classics like a vanilla dip with sprinkles or you’re feeling adventurous and want to try a more unique flavour like toast-and-butter, you can bet that one of Toronto’s doughnut shops has got you covered.

If you still can’t get enough of the sugary confections, on June 25 Toronto Life is partnering with Dufferin Mall to throw a doughnut-extravaganza at its first-ever Doughnut Festival. Over a dozen of the top bakeries in Toronto will be set up for a day of taste-testing and sugar-coated fun. Tickets to the event are available now, but since it’s a festival dedicated to a dessert as trendy as the doughnut, don’t count on them lasting long.
