Apple Maps is Making Your Airport Experience so Much Easier with this New Feature

Raise your hand if you’ve ever gotten lost in an airport.

???

Now, raise your hand if the stress of getting lost in an airport caused you to have a mini-meltdown pre-flight, especially since you couldn’t find a Tim Hortons to ease your hanger because you were lost.

???

If only there was an interactive map that worked inside an airport that would allow you to navigate your way between terminals, duty free stores and restaurants, right? Well folks, it does, indeed, exist, thanks to Apple.

Apple’s Maps app is now updated to include detailed indoor maps for more than 30 Canadian, U.S. and international airports, including Toronto Pearson Airport and Vancouver International Airport. With this new feature, travellers at airports will be able to tap to look inside airport terminals to view boarding gates, security checkpoints, check-in desks and baggage claim carousels, locate shops, restaurants and restrooms located within the airport or in a specific terminal, see their location in real time with indoor positioning and ask Siri to find something nearby.

Trying to figure out where to check in? Just search for the desk within the app, and see where it is, in comparison to where you are. If you need a visual, you can even do an indoor view so you know exactly what you’re looking for. Same goes for food, washrooms, stores, etc.

If only we could get this for the Toronto PATH, amirite?
