Describe your label in three words
Timeless, versatile and empowering.
What made you first want to be a designer?
I constantly used to “edit” clothes and have them altered to my taste. While in university, I designed my own clothes for special events and fell in love with the process from start to finish. Drawing a sketch and seeing the fabric come to life was an exhilarating experience.
When you decided to become a designer, what is one thing you had no idea you’d have to do?
I underestimated how much time I would spend on Excel working with numbers.
If you could have anyone in the world wear your collection, who would it be?
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Celine Dion.
What is one place or location that inspires you?
Anywhere in Europe, specifically the Amalfi Coast, France or Greece.
What would you consider the highlight of your career so far?
Being a part of Toronto Fashion Week in collaboration with RE\SET last season, then seeing one of my designs in Vanity Fair.
What are you most looking forward to about Toronto Fashion Week in collaboration with RE\SETTM?
This is my third season showing and every time it exceeds my expectations. Seeing the evolution of fashion week and the designers participating is thrilling and makes me feel very proud to be Canadian. The high energy, buzz and support from people in Toronto is inspiring.
