Sneaker culture is on the rise in our home and native land, and collectors of stylish kicks were in heaven this past Saturday at the Kicks+Tix TO sneaker convention. With a chance to buy, sell and trade their sneaks (plus a Raptors game ticket with purchase of admission) the Air Canada Centre was filled with some of Toronto’s most coveted sneaker collections.

The convention impressed with everything from classic Air Jordans to pink velvet Pumas to geometric patterned Reebok Blacktops—all collectors bringing their sneaker A-game. And seeing that sneaks still top next season’s must-have lists, this was one awesome way to get a head start on your fall wardrobe. Photographer Becca Lemire was there to snap the sneakers in all their glory, capturing some swag street style along the way. Our personal fave? The white paint-cracked high tops with gold zippers, paired with destroyed denim—weekend-wear perfection.
