Known for her ah-mazing OTT accessories, the ninety-five-year-old style muse/interior and fashion designer/business woman gives a few words of sartorial wisdom in her latest interview with home decor destination One Kings Lane. “Jewellery, I think, is the most transformative of all the accessories—and accessories certainly are transformative,” she says in the video. Apfel also believes in the power of standing out from the crowd. “There’s so much sameness in the world, if people are not going to change their manner of dress, at least change your jewellery so you don’t all look alike,” she says bedecked in a pair of beaded bib necklaces and her signature oversized frames. Talk about #inspo. Apfel puts the knockout into nonagenarian—all with a twinkle in her eye.
