The brains and beauty behind three popular shows, Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic are affectionately known by their TV titles, such as Anna & Kristina’s Grocery Bag and their television debut, The Shopping Bags. Here, these product-testing pros dish on their favourite holiday wear and fashion resolutions.

What’s your holiday style?
Anna: “Understated glam. Choosing one thing to play up, be it loading up on accessories or [applying] a few extra strokes [of] navy eyeliner. Navy is my colour for the holidays.”
Kristina: “Wearing fabrics with some sheen or sparkle, as opposed to amping it up with accessories. I’m drawn to sequins and metallics.”

What’s your New Year’s eve dream dress?
Anna: “A Lanvin peplum dress. I love the modern use of floral, especially for the dead of winter.”
Kristina: “Pink Tartan’s tulle skirts, especially the black one, paired with a tank and wide belt.”

What are your fashion resolutions this year?
Anna: “Mixing casual and glam, [like] chunky knits with satin or silk.”
Kristina: “I have to stop buying the same style dress. I’ve been obsessed with dresses that have ruching either in the front or on the sides.”

Which Fall 2011 runway collection inspired these resolutions?
Anna: “Alexander Wang.”
Kristina: “Diane von Furstenberg. She’s gone beyond the wrap dress. It’s time for me to look at some new shapes and cuts.”

Who do you look to for style inspiration?
Anna: “Ralph Lauren. Everything about him is cool.”
Kristina: “I love Jennifer Aniston’s style. She keeps things simple and always looks chic.”

What is your investment piece for winter?
Anna: “My Max Mara wool coat in camel. [It’s] lush, warm, and the colour is to die for.”
Kristina: “A good coat. Besides the fact that it’s a functional piece, it’s often the first thing people see you in.”

Which trend will you indulge in this holiday season?
Anna: “Regular manicures to keep my nails pristine.”
Kristina: “Rich jewel tones, like red, emerald green and royal blue. It’s a great way to stand out in a sea of black cocktail dresses.”

Amina Said is surrounded by covetable clothing and accessories every day on the job, so it comes as no surprise that this stylish 25-year-old has a haute winter wardrobe in mind. Here, she talks leather gloves, luxe frocks and bold berry lips.

What’s your holiday style?
“For me, colour is always good because it compensates for the dull winter weather. I’m really excited to wear tights this season. The fall runways were full of so many gorgeous and intricate styles of tights and socks.”

What’s your New Year’s Eve dream dress?
“One of Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2011 dresses. It’s got colour, which I’m all about, and the sequins and draping make it so glamorous. Lanvin’s Resort 2012 fringe dress is also stunning. I’d wear stacked bracelets and a high collar necklace with it.”

Who do you look to for style inspiration?
“I don’t look to one specific person. So many things and people inspire me, from travelling to old pictures of my mom to Shala Monroque to street style blogs.”

What are your fashion resolutions this year?
“Eliminate boxy dresses and loose trousers.  My look is hugely menswear inspired, so I need to find a balance between that and my femininity.”

Which Fall 2011 runway collections inspired these resolutions?
“Céline, Marni, Stella McCartney, Miu Miu, Diane von Furstenberg and Suno.”

How do you combat the winter blues?
“A quick trip somewhere hot. Colour, jewellery and hot drinks.”

If you had to wear one outerwear piece all season, what would it be?
“I’m always cold, so a beautiful jacket for sure—one that I can actually look forward to wearing despite the sub-zero weather.”

What is your investment piece for winter?
“Leather gloves are necessary. They prevent frozen hands and make typing on your BlackBerry easy. A knit hooded scarf is also essential. My hair is naturally curly, so a hat doesn’t work for me.”

What’s the best trend to indulge in this holiday season?
“An oversized faux-fur collar in a vivid shade and berry lips.”

What are your go-to winter boots?
“Since I always wear a heel, I got this cool lace-up bootie from Rosegold. The lug sole and chunky heel is the best of both worlds.”

A day in the life of Christina Krcevinac, 30, is a whirlwind of activity that has her planning a Lupe Fiasco concert in Toronto one moment, and then jetting off to the Big Apple to take care of journalists at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week the next. As a living billboard for luxury denim brand Diesel, she walks, talks and sings the blues. Here, she reveals her winter must-haves and her ideal New Year’s Eve look.

What’s your holiday style?
“Sparkles and sequins feel very Christmasy to me. I have a gold cardigan that I only really take out during the holidays. You won’t find me wearing anything sparkly any other time of the year. It’s too girly.”

What’s your New Year’s eve dream dress?
“I can’t wait to wear the Diesel O-Romp skirt. It’s super sexy. Paired with a men’s white shirt and bright-red lips, it will be my perfect holiday ensemble.”

What are your fashion resolutions this year?
“I just finished reading Phillip Bloch’s The Shopping Diet, so my resolution is to start wearing everything I have. I have a bad habit of keeping great items in my closet and saving them.”

Which Fall 2011 collection inspired these resolutions?
“I like to combine unexpected pieces: heavy knits with silk, studded belts with pretty florals, sparkles with destroyed jeans. Runway collections like Diesel, Balmain, Dsquared and L.A.M.B. that mix casual looks with luxury help me make my outfits.”

Which trend are you going to indulge in this season?
“Faux fur. I never thought I’d see myself in a fur vest, but it adds glamour to any look. It feels very chalet for a long weekend at the cottage or adds oomph to the black skinnies and silk top for the after-work cinq-à-sept. I have one from H&M in beige and one from Zara in grey.”

If you had to wear one coat all winter, what would it be?
“I got a Parajumper coat on Ssense.com. It’s the best buy I ever made.”

What are your go-to winter boots?
“Sorels. For years I was ruining my beautiful leather boots in the wet snow. Now I bring shoes to work and change into them.”

Who do you look to for style inspiration?
“Nicole Richie mixes boho with glamour effortlessly, and can go from cut-off jeans to red carpet without ever losing her personal style.”

How do you combat the winter blues?
“When I wear rich colours, like aubergine and emerald, it makes my eyes pop and helps my mood. Oftentimes I don’t wear dresses because it’s too cold, but if I pair them with the right tights, a cozy cardigan and cool boots, it makes me excited about going to the office.”
