Zooey Deschanel is suing Steve Madden for US$2 million. The actress claims she had a verbal agreement with the footwear company to front a line called Zooey’s Shoes and Accessories, stipulating that she’d be paid whether the line went ahead or not. [Fashionista]

Alberta Ferretti will put “real women” on the runway for her show at the Pitti Uomo. The list includes Tom Ford runway veteran Marisa Berenson, actress Camilla Belle and Singaporean singer Olivia Ong. Maybe not so much more accessible than runway models, though the show will also feature a family lawyer and a scientific researcher. [Grazia]

Tommy Ton puts Leigh Lezark, Altuzarra muse Vanessa Traina, and Pop‘s Shala Monroque among his best dressed of the year. And, yes, Anna Dello Russo. As if you even had to ask. [StyleFile]

The many Carine Roitfeld retrospectives are pouring in: Fashionologie has 100 editorials and covers and The Cut rounds up her most NSFW work.

And those rumours of the Paris Vogue editor going back to work with Tom Ford? Kiboshed by the man himself. [NYT]

Androgyne of the moment, Serbian model Andrej Pejic, just finished shooting the Marc by Marc Jacobs spring campaign in Marrakesh. [WWD]

Norma Kamali, a womenswear designer best known for her swimwear, is looking for people to invest in a new line of “accessibly-priced” clothes [WWD]

Speaking of Kamali, Final Fashion blogger Danielle Meder points to the designer as one who’s finding some success working outside the fashion system. [Aggregation]
