Christina Ricci is set to star in a short film—or long-winded commercial, whatever you want to call it—for Donna Karen’s Eldridge bag. Adored children’s literary character Eloise now has a store to call her own at The Plaza. The shop is outfitted in pink memorabilia in homage to the beloved Kay Thompson tale and will host tea parties, dress up and story hour for eager fans. Legend has it that the 55-year-old character was based on Thompson’s goddaughter, Liza Minnelli, who lived at the Plaza with her mother Judy Garland for a time. [WWD]
