The new designer collection you can actually afford

Israel-born, NYC-based designer Yigal Azrouël is well known in the fashion community for his signature brand of sexy minimalism—a combination which, with the resurgence of all things nineties, has found a happy home among millennials and Gen-Xers alike. His silhouettes strike the perfect balance of structured sophistication and feminine curves, effectively attracting a diverse range of celeb fans as well, including Cate Blanchett and Kendall Jenner (who wore an organza eyelet patchwork gown by the designer to last year’s American Music Awards).

Of course, as is the case with most designer collections (even in the contemporary sphere), price points for such sleek garb often falls outside the realm of realistic budgets.

Design Lab, Hudson’s Bay’s private label focused on all things cool and current, understands this dichotomy better than most, and has made it their mission to react to trends quickly and affordably. Enter the Y Yigal x Design Lab capsule collection, which features an array of striking cut-outs and abstract patterns in a variety of dresses, tops, and sweaters—and all of it retailing for less than $150.

Needless to say, these pieces are at the top of our holiday party circuit wishlist.
