The Accessory You Need Now To Look Like An Off-Duty Celebrity

Mastering the art of sporty cool.

You may not have a private jet or a sparkler the size of a swimming pool, but you can still channel your inner A-lister without breaking the bank.

This fall, baseball caps are batting 1000 when it comes to off-duty style. Worn with a blazer, T-shirt and jeans or a favourite topper and cropped trousers, this sporty accessory adds a cool athleisure vibe to casual looks. A baseball cap is also an ideal quick fix for bad hair days—after all summer frizz may have hit the road, but fall’s dry air wreaks havoc on strands, too.

Inspired by street style, this playful trend has been spotted all over the runways, from New York to Paris. Balenciaga’s resort 2017 collection featured models wearing maxi dresses with baseball caps and shoulder-duster earrings. Clearly, now’s the time to get in the game.

Not sure how to rock one? Take your style cues from celebs like Hailey Baldwin, who recently paired a basic black cap with an oversized hoodie and XL hoop earrings and Rihanna, who topped off her Louis Vuitton x Supreme jean jacket with a white Balenciaga baseball cap. Two different spins, but both of these stars could teach a course on sporty cool.

Then there’s Meghan Markle who knows a thing or two about off-duty chic. In a fitted blazer, a white tee, distressed denim, ballet flats and a New York Yankees ball cap, Prince Harry’s flame nailed the collegiate cool look. She’s also been spotted wearing a Toronto Blue Jays cap, too.

Check out our gallery of baseball caps below—from leopard print to pastel, it’s the cool girl accessory of the season. Batter up!
