Bruce Weber Denies Abuse Allegations via Instagram

On Wednesday, fashion photographer Bruce Weber posted an Instagram saying that he would “vigorously defend himself” against the claims of sexual assault being made against him. Weber is currently the defendant in a lawsuit brought against him inn December 2017 by model Jason Boyce, who claims that Weber locked him in his studio, kissed the model, and put his fingers in his mouth. Weber has stayed quiet about the allegations until now, writing, “I have spent my career capturing the human spirit through photographs and am confident that, in due time, the truth will prevail.” (Dazed)

Red Carpet Coverage is Shifting

Stories published on both The Cut and the New York Times detail how each publication will respectively be changing their red carpet coverage of the Golden Globes this Sunday, post-Harvey Weinstein cultural reckoning. It has been confirmed that a number of actors will be attending the ceremony in black to symbolize how many women in the industry were blacklisted after resisting Weinstein’s advances. The New York Times will be sending a Pulitzer-prize winning photographer to cover the event, as well as publishing a series of stories on the “joys and discomforts” associated with the entertainment business. The Cut will not be ranking the “best” and “worst” fashions on the red carpet out of respect for the actors’ decision to shift the conversation away from what they are wearing and onto the political statements they are making. Cindy Crawford’s Offspring Star in a Calvin Klein Jeans Campaign

Kaia Gerber, 16, the genetically blessed daughter of Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, made her modeling debut in 2017 and now, alongside brother Presley, 18, has nabbed the Spring 2018 Calvin Klein campaign. The theme is classic Americana; the shoot takes place in a barn, and features plenty of denim, with both Kaia and Presley clutching a patchwork quilt as they mug into the camera. It’s an apt theme for the siblings, who are already parlaying their legacy status into burgeoning careers as some of the upcoming generation’s biggest stars. (Fashionista)
