9 Bloggers Prove That the Beret is Back

Show up to a party in a beret and your eccentric fashion choice may be met with military salutes and mime gestures. But the joke’s on them, because what they don’t know is that the beret is back (and we have pictures to prove it).

Fashion bloggers are proof that the beret isn’t just a prop for painters and pseudo intellectuals; it’s a chic and practical winter accessory. When your ears need protection from the elements, a wool beret is an elegant alternative to the ubiquitous beanie.

You can wear it slouched back for a laidback boyish look, or titled to one side for a Picasso-esque effect. If you’re feeling bad and bougie, pin a broach on your beret and toss on a fur jacket. Or, for a classic Parisian look, opt for a necktie and bold red lip with a pain au chocolat in hand.
