Here’s something we didn’t expect — luxury department store Lord & Taylor will soon have merchandise available at walmart.com. Karl Lagerfeld criticizes Germany’s open-door migration policies
Never one to shy away from controversy, Karl Lagerfeld is currently making waves for his critical remarks on Germany’s migration policy. During an appearance on Salut les Terriens! (which translates to “Hello Earthlings!”) talkshow on the C8 channel in France over the weekend, the fashion designer attacked chancellor Angela Merkel for opening Germany’s borders. Along with reportedly saying Merkel made a “huge error” by accepting so many refugees, he also reportedly stated “One cannot — even if there are decades between them — kill millions of Jews so you can bring millions of their worst enemies in their place. I know someone in Germany who took a young Syrian and after four days said: ‘The greatest thing Germany invented was the Holocaust.'”
France’s media regulator, the CSA, said that several hundred people have filed complaints against the program and C8 following the interview. The CSA is currently in the process of investigating the program. (The Guardian)
