The Most Mesmerizing Beauty Looks at Spring 2017 Haute Couture Week

Otherworldly is one word that comes to mind when describing the beauty moments from Spring 2017 Haute Couture week. Given that couture is the crème de la crème of fashion, it’s not surprising to see beauty trends that are out of this world this time of year.

Structured hair seems to be the biggest trend this season with Guido Palau and Sam McKnight make strong cases for the bold ‘do. While Palau had the Givenchy models’ hair slicked back with square metallic stickers at the temples, McKnight wrapped Chanel models’ hair around (and around) for a chic chignon alternative. In terms of makeup, metallics and glittery eyes were strong. While Sam Bryant swiped another layer of silver on top of a graphic black liner, Tom Pecheux dabbed glitter onto the corners of the eye at Chanel.

But probably the most magical makeup of all was at Dior’s Spring 2017 Haute Couture show. Peter Philips used the star (one of the design house’s lucky charm symbols) as inspo for the romantic look, which resulted in models with tiny gold stars placed under and in the corners of the eyes. Meanwhile, other models had bursts of “stardust” swept onto the sides of their faces. Friday night makeup inspiration? We think so.
