Glossier Just Released its First Product of 2020

Eye spy with my little eye...

Glossier has been making headlines of late, thanks to its newest sustainability report, and the announcement that it will shutter its makeup sub-brand, Play, moving forward. Now, it’s back on our radars again thanks to the exciting news that the brand has launched its first product of the new decade. Today, the Emily Weiss-founded label introduced Skywash, a new range of eyeshadows inspired by “southwest landscapes.”

The buildable liquid-to-powder shadow is available in seven shades – palm (a golden beige), echo (a cocoa brown), pool (a cornflower blue), pebble (a neutral taupe), terra (a burnet sienna), valley (a warm peach) and lawn (a fresh green) – and is described by the brand as having a “diffused, matte finish.” It’s the sister product to its cult lid product, Lidstar, although the brighter hues (like lawn and pool) skew slightly more towards the adventurous consumer. The formula is designed to last for 12 hours (impressive) and is also smudge-resistant, meaning as soon as put it on with the doe foot applicator, it stays put until you’re ready to take it off.

All colours in the Skywash lineup are also vegan, as well as gluten- and cruelty-free and have been formulated without fragrance. Plus, they’ve been ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested.

Considering the trademark was filed eight months ago, it’s safe to say people have been waiting for this one. And as with almost all of the brand’s new launches, we suspect it won’t disappoint.
