L’Oréal Canada to Produce Hand Sanitizer in Quebec Production Facility

L’Oréal Canada has announced a new COVID-19 relief program that will provide financial and practical support to Canadian healthcare workers, small businesses and employees.
In a statement, the brand confirmed it will act in four ways. The first is to transform its Quebec production facilities into hand sanitizing production hubs to provide hydro-alcoholic gels to medical professionals and hospitals, including CHUM and McGill University Hospital. The company has also announced that it will freeze all receivables from the smaller hair salons and spas in its distribution network (in addition to providing long-term support once business restrictions lift), as well as reviewing its payment terms for those businesses who are struggling greatly at this time. These measures are in line with similar protocols announced by the company’s European branch last week.
Additionally, L’Oréal Canada has decided to donate $200,000 in cash and hygiene products to an as-yet unspecified charity to help fight financial insecurity, deliver proper hygiene and support victims of domestic violence at this time.
