I love adding a dark lip to an easy and fast 5 minute face. For me lipstick can transform a look from basic to glam in seconds. When the sun starts to set I can change out my sheer moisturizing gloss for a dark lip transforming my look from day time casual to holiday party ready. I’m wearing Maybelline’s Loaded Bold lipstick in 775 Raging Raisin.

Products: Tatcha Radiant Deep Brightening Serum, Skinny & Co. Coconut Oil to moisturize face, Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Vanilla Candy Cane lip butter as base, Maybelline Lipstick in 775. Eyes and cheeks Maybelline Gilted in Gold makeup kit. Maybelline Dream Cushion foundation and Dream illuminating concealer.

Sometimes it can be tough to pick a look for the holidays – do you go bold and smoky, bright and colourful, or classic?

For the eyes, I like to stick to the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour palette, because it’s divided into three sections, which makes it easy to follow – I went with the “neutral quad” section. Pop on a little black wing, and a festive red lip, and you’re ready for any holiday party. And to jazz up my look I added some sparkle to my red lip, because the holidays are the right time to get your glitter on!

Product used: Kat Von D “Shade + Light Eye Contour”, Charlotte Tilbury Eyeliner “The Feline Flick”, Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil “Pomegranate”, Stila Lip Top Coat “Glitterati”, Too Faced Love Flush Blush “How Deep Is Your Love?”, Cover FX Perfect Light Highlighting Powder “Moonlight”, Gosh Rebel Eyes Long Wear Volume Mascara

During the holiday season I always plan to have extra time to get ready for parties and without fail I always end up rushed! My quick go-to beauty look when I find myself in a hurry, is wavy hair paired with a polished yet minimal makeup look. For my eye look I use a nude shadow all over the lid with a slightly darker brown or taupe shade blended in the crease. To make my eyes pop I line the top and bottom of my eyes with brown eyeliner, then use a small brush to smudge the edges. Since a darker lip can be more time consuming to apply, I stick with coral or a rose toned lipstick that doesn’t require a ton of up keep but still adds a pop of colour!

To achieve messy waves I use a 1 inch iron and twist 1 inch sections of hair around the rod, away from my face, repeating until all of my hair is in semi-tight curls. I then let the curls cool for a few minutes, (usually while I change into my outfit). Next, I brush my fingers through them to break up the curls. To add extra hold and give my hair a bit more texture I finish by spaying with a texturizing hairspray.

Products Used: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, MAC Eyeliner “Teddy”, Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick “Coachella Coral”, GHD Wave Wand, Bumble and Bumble “Styling Lotion”, Oribe “Dry Texturizing Spray”.

“Like most people, I suffer from a laundry list of to do’s around the holiday season. From events with family and friends to office holiday parties, I find it easy to fall into a rut when it comes to my beauty routine. I like to keep it effortless to counter my time-starved schedule but I thought I would change it up this year and gravitated towards a smoky eye. First, I like to start prepping the area with a light base covering my lid from the lash line to the lower brow line. This creates a clean surface that shadow can stick to for long wear. I then blend a deep color into the crease line, increasing the darkness with each coat. Leaving the darkest color until the end – I use an angled brush along the lash line and blend outwards, creating a smoky look. To complete the look I curl my lashes and use three to four coats of volumizing mascara for added drama.

In between wrapping presents, baking cookies, and playing in the snow, sometimes you are left with only a few minutes to pull together a fun holiday beauty look. My go to involves my love for red lipstick, with a little dash of glitter. Here I did my normal routine for skin and brows, I added a bit of cream base on my eyelids, and a neutral light shadow. Then, I lined my lash line with a gold glitter eyeliner and added just a couple swipes of mascara. For my lips, I used an amazing liquid lipstick applied with a lip brush, resulting in no need for a lip liner. I threw my hair in a quick fun-bun and finished off my hair with a festive red hairband. Ready for the party!

Other than Fall, one of my favourite times for makeup is the holidays. There are so many great gift sets out! It’s really hard to pick a favourite one. Lately I’ve been wearing a deep berry matte lip daily. But this holiday I’m going to switch it up!

I’m going to go with something very soft and glittery. I love this because it’s an easy last-minute holiday look. We’re gonna start with two primers. For the eyes: Urban Decay primer potion. For the face: CoverGirl True Blend face primer for combo skin. We want that HD quality skin- because you never know when someone’s going to pull out their camera. The best foundation to do the job would be the Make Up For Ever ultraHD in Y535. Concealer wise, I am trying out something new on the market for deeper skin tones. It is the Make Up For Ever ultraHD invisible cover concealer. I used Y49 and Y51 mixed together. Back to the eyes: I used Inglot’s eyeshadow in 329. Probably one of my favourite eyeshadows on the market right now! They are so buttery and creamy. And then I used an Inglot kohl pencil to smoke it out along the lash line. In the crease I used Anastasia Beverly Hills and Sienna. One of the best transition colours you can pick up if you have a deeper skintone like me. For the glitter, I used Lise waiter Eye Glitter liner in Opale.

What made the look so soft? It definitely has to be the lips! I used ColourPop in “Finders Creepers,” a nice blue-based pink creme. Overall this is definitely a look that you can wear on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve or your holiday party. Super fun!
