Brace Yourselves, Huda Kattan is Launching a Skincare Line
Here’s what we know so far.
Beauty mogul Huda Kattan has announced that she’ll be expanding her beauty empire next month with the launch of a skincare line.
Very little is known about the line at present, including its name, although Kattan says it will not be called Huda Beauty Skin – however it has been years in the making.
The beauty blogger turned entrepreneur has always been very candid with her followers about her skincare woes. In an Instagram post announcing the launch, she wrote, “I’ve said it before, but my skin has been a JOURNEY. As a kid I had really dry-sensitive skin, that was super rough and uneven in tone and texture, and at 19 I started dealing with cystic adult acne. There were days I didn’t want to leave the house bc my acne got SO painful & bad! I always wanted beautiful skin but I honestly thought it wasn’t for me.”
Kattan then went on to explain how, through blogging and experimenting, she was able to get her skin under control and finally have the skin she’d dreamed of. “I have never felt more beautiful, more proud in my own skin, after feeling like that was never possible,” she wrote. “I can’t wait to share.”
One thing we do know about the line is that it won’t be as full-on or as fragrant as her eponymous makeup line which Kattan describes as “heavy, made to cover up imperfections, photograph flawlessly and last all day and night”. Speaking of the skincare she said, “When we decided to create a skincare line we wanted to pull from everything I loved about skin so we partnered with the top labs in Korea and Japan and created the most GENTLE but EFFECTIVE skincare products that are so clean, so natural and with almost no scent (less than .2%).”
The first product and the name of the brand will be revealed on February 4. Watch this space.
