Cult Skincare Brand Augustinus Bader is (Finally!) Launching in Canada Next Month

Hallelujah!

Every now and then, a brand (or person) creates a product that captures the attention of consumers worldwide. And Augustinus Bader has done just that with his products — reaching cult status in just over a year since launch. Now, the products will be available to purchase in Canada for the very first time next month, launching exclusively at Holt Renfrew (both in-store and online).

The brand is the brainchild of German scientist and stem cell expert Augustinus Bader and is both technologically and scientifically advanced. In 2008, whilst working with burn victims, Bader created a revolutionary gel that healed third-degree burns without the need for surgery. The formulation worked by “carrying a set of healing signals to the site of the wound or burn, triggering the damaged skin cells and facilitating perfect healing,” according to the brand. Realising the immense potential application for skincare in general, Bader (who is based out of the University of Leipzig where he is the head of stem cell research) got to work on his namesake line, eventually releasing The Cream and The Rich Cream in 2018.

Both products contain the patent-pending Trigger Factor Complex (TFC8) technology which helps to “reawaken” cells for regenerated skin. According to the brand, “TFC8 is comprised of natural amino acids, high-grade vitamins and synthesized molecules naturally found in the skin.” But what does that mean for your skin, you ask? Reduced frown lines, age spots and wrinkles, reduced signs of environmental damage, more even skin tone and an unbeatable glow are just some of its benefits. Interestingly, the brand says the creams react with the user’s own genetic code, delivering a “naturally personalized” effect to each person.

And if you’re the kind of person who’s constantly searching for a simplified skincare routine, then this is the brand for you. Given the power list of ingredients in both formulations, the brand says you can ditch your toners, serums and acids and just use the cream of your choice after your regular cleanser. A two-step skincare regimen? SIGN. US. UP.

Back in July, Bader released his newest product, The Body Cream, to similar fanfare worldwide. The firming formula is infused with the same regenerative properties as his face creams, and includes Brazilian candeia oil for all-day moisture.

The brand has a huge following, particularly in Hollywood, with the likes of Margot Robbie, Kim Kardashian West, Kate Bosworth, Sandra Oh, Naomie Harris and January Jones publicly singing its praises.

Such miracles come with a price tag – The Cream and The Rich Cream are both priced at $225 for 30ml or $350 for 50ml and The Body Cream is $220 –but if the hundreds of rave reviews (and celebrity clientele) are to be believed, it’s money very well spent.
