Adolescent fantasy worlds nearly collided last night when Daniel Radcliffe aka Mr. Harry Potter himself and High School Musical’s Zac Efron attended back-to-back TIFF 2013 parties at Grey Goose Soho House. Radcliffe was there first to celebrate Horns, his Kafka-esque new film about a young man who starts growing horns after his girlfriend’s death; earlier in the day the star hammed it up on the red carpet in a devil headband. Grey Goose cocktails with festival-ready names like Torontini were passed around as Radcliffe and his beautiful blonde co-star Juno Temple posed for chummy photos by the fireplace before heading out into the night.

Efron arrived shortly after, looking dapper as ever in a slim-cut grey suit. The Disney heartthrob held court on a plush leather sofa in one corner with his Parkland co-stars Tom Welling, Paul Giamatti and Colin Hanks, the spitting image of his father Tom (seriously, it was like watching Big). It was clearly boys’ night out as the posse chatted and chowed down on quinoa salad together. Hanks was easiest to spot as he worked the room, basically towering over his costars who, like most actors, were all much smaller in real life.

True Blood’s Stephen Moyer was also there, flying solo in a burgundy top with no sign of wife/co-star Anna Paquin. The elegant Susan Sarandon sat at the opposite end of the room from the Parkland crew, straight from the premiere of her Errol Flynn biopic The Last of Robin Hood. The fete wound down as hopeful paparazzi stalked the sidewalk outside and shiny black Town Cars and Escalades crowded the street, ready to whisk the stars away to their after-after parties.
